First Day of 7th Grade

Pop-pops was grumpy but excited

Gentle as a Lizard

sometimes my girl kitties bring me gifts...most of the time they're not dead yet (& when they ARE ...ewww...verry dead..smearded) lately they've been in the mood fer lizard...i can usually corral the poor battered dears into this red metal container with a lid i got at a bernie sanders yardsale .. fundraiser. Fun. Awww Bernie ..dammit... Anywhoo. lizards...alligator ones & the last two were blue bellies..one w/a tail one without ( we figured it can't be the same lizard as the first time it showed up with No tail & a coupla days later the one With a tail was trying to escape under the piano before i nabbed it). After i let the kid interact w/the cute lil feller we take them up the street to a nice lil brickwall area with overgrown ivy & plenty of sunlight ...they really seem to appreciate it & are just so cute & gentle. It makes the kid feel good that he intervened on behalf of our scaly lil friends...

i was in the mood

to pet something. Walking to the #4 bus stop i Thought i saw a woodland creature... a big one  in someone's side yard but when i took another look it was Gone! i vaguely remembered these silly rich people having like a Fake deer ... but it wasn't There. So i continued on thru the universalist church parking lot with a hankering to see animals in their natural habitat. like in a rescue situation, a sanctuary perhaps....i felt curious & wanted to experience somethin' Out of the ordinary...on South St. i spotted these nopales & decided to pet them instead.
i told Pop-pops how they felt like skin..on cold bloated flesh..like maybe a smooth lizard.

i read to my kids While pregnant. Different books appealed to me...some fucken Magazines horrified me. LIFE magazine had a rites of passages around the world edition .... Happy is more visual as a result. G. read at a post college level in like 2nd grade & Pop-pops is a combo.
So as a result of my organic experience i recommend that every mother read to their babes Before they are born. The MOAR the better. The funnier the better. I got the belly laughs when i read some super funny pee my pants can't breathe from the giggles most notably  ..a Jenny McCarthy book w/Pop-pops...at Barnes & Nobles.
my point is: moms can do FABULOUS thingz w/they childrens if they Really think about it. FROM the get-go.
