Until he realized he doesn't like the ocean and fell in love with music. He's been in the school band since 6th grade. Also reading at a PHS ( I had to ask him what that meant: post high school) level since the 2nd or 3rd grade which is a minor BFD because come on now, I read at a PHS level and for me that's Everybody Loves Elmo- 6 times a day. So currently G. is in marching band, Jazz Band and Honor Band and wants to be: A Professional Jazz Musician.

I am so jealous. My secret what I wanted to be when I grow up wish was to be a studio musician. Not exactly the same - but so very close.
G. will crack up when I tell him Beta Fishy is just jealous. We make a joke out of jealousy around here. Like if someone trips or does something embarrasing they say:
"Oh, you are just jealous!"
Which instrument did you secretly wish to play as a studio musician?
You are so going to laugh at me. The bass clarinet. That is what I played so I figured that I should stick to what I know.....
You are right, I did laugh but it was at how delightful you are! I figured the guitar or the flute....but the bass clarinet!
I am impressed :0)
My ex-boyfriend, the one I write about in my blog a lot, was a studio muscian. Played violin, all brass instruments, guitar, a little piano, could play drums until he was paralyzed, and some other things I can't even remember.
I always wanted to be super smart. Unfortunately, I ended up just smart enough to know how stupid I really am. :(
G. of A.,
You are So Not Stupid.
(i didn't know Andrew was paralyzed)
Andrew has been paralyzed since he was 13. He's now 49. It just made life even more difficult for him, being black and paralyzed adds a lot of burdens.
That quote about being stupid, it's something my dad says. He says he's just smart enough to know how stupid he is, to know how much he doesn't know. And that is frustrating to him and to me. That you can't know it all. :)
Boys who can play instruments are hot. Tell the girls to watch out for that boy. :)
