Lickety Split Carpentry

I learned from the best. Really, I did. My dad said,"Oh I just knocked some sense into you, mija."

That is my father Felix w/the first arch we ever put in my mom's castle....you can see a liitle bit of the tipi we lived in on the right. Those were good times. Felix died 5 years ago but he lives on in every arch I ever build and every nail I sink.

I love the words mija/mijo. Just so... loving.

Your dad sounds amazing. I say sounds because he is alive in you and your stories. Not to mention the arches you build. :) Great talent to have!

Weird question for you, please don't be offended. Why are Pop-pops and Happy so much lighter skinned than your elder son? I don't get it.

When someone told Frank Sinatra that Ira Gershwin was dead, ole Blue eyes said, "I refuse to believe that."

G. is a Proud Blaxican, of mixed blood, different dad, but same heart of my heart.
I thought you knew that.

I didn't know, but thanks for clearing it up. I just wonder about genetics sometimes. Give a girl an AP Biology class and she'll forever think herself a scientist. ;)
